Group travel discounts
The Octagon Theatre has an arrangement with the following coach companies
for discounted group travel - simply mention the Octagon when making your
travel arrangements.
- 20% discount from Belle Vue Coach Hire, Manchester (0161 947 9477,
16-67 seaters)
- 20% discount from Olympia Travel, Wigan (01942 522322, 16-70 seaters)
- Up to 10% discount from Freebird (0161 797 6633, 16 and 29 seaters
and full size coaches 48, 53, and 67 seaters).
Coach Parking
There is a drop off point for coaches outside the Octagon Theatre on Howell
Croft South. There are currently 3 coach parking spaces avaiable near
Bolton Market (these need to be booked in advance) and planning for 6
more on Crook Street (due to be ready early 2009). You can find out more

The Octagon Theatre provides the perfect setting for a group night out.
Whether you're enjoying one of the special one-night events or a home-grown
Octagon production you can book pre or post-show drinks or buffet.
Hot and cold buffet prices start from
just £7.40 per person. Plus if you bring 10 or more people, we'll
reserve a room or private section of the bar for you for free.

Backstage Tours
If you’re bringing a group along to the Octagon, why not take advantage
of a free, fascinating backstage tour? The tour features a commentary
about the Octagon and its history and visits all areas of the theatre,
including both theatre spaces, dressing rooms, production areas and offices.

Meet the director and cast
Post-Show Discussions are a staple feature of each home produced Octagon
production and usually take place after the performance on the first Tuesday
of each run. Attendance at post-show events is free on presentation of
your theatre ticket; if possible, please advise the Octagon Ticket Office
staff of your intention to attend when booking your tickets. For information
